What is a Snowball?
Snowballs are Louisiana’s versions of shaved ice. Southerners love to enhance their snowball by either ordering it “stuffed” with vanilla ice cream or topped with condensed milk.

Zydeco Snow is locally owned and operated by Drew, Kim, Audrey, Abby, and Katie. Drew and his daughter, Audrey, were born in Louisiana and moved to California in 2012. They remember eating Louisiana’s favorite cold treat, snowballs, which could be found at multiple snowball stands around. They met Kim and her daughters, Abby and Katie, in 2013 and during a trip together to Louisiana to see family, introduced them to snowballs as well.
In 2022, the family decided to purchase a used food trailer, remodel it, and use it to bring snowballs to Southern California. Using a New Orleans style ice shaver, and syrups shipped from New Orleans, Zydeco Snow is ready to serve snowballs in the community and at your events!
What is Zydeco? Well, the family loves music and Zydeco is a style of music in Louisiana. Zydeco music typically has accordions and washboards, is upbeat, and really fun! Plus it’s pronounced Zai-Duh-Co and Zydeco Snow has a nice ring to it.
